Gas-O-Valve
The Hi-Lo Automatic Gas-O-Valve is a new development
by Hi-Lo Flare System and Services, to tackle the
problem of balancing landfill gas wells evenly on landfill sites.
At present this process is done manually and is almost impossible to
balance all the wells at the same time.
For example:
If your site has 20 wells, it is a full time job to balance all
the wells individually. Once you have tried to balance them to the
best of your ability, before you know it you have to start all over
again because the wells you just balance become unbalanced again.
The Gas-O-Valve is an automatic system that will
balance all the wells at the same time.
The Gas-O-Valve takes the guesswork out of field
balancing and is very cost effective.

The Gas-O-Valve is a fully integrating control valve
that can power itself via solar control panels or be powered from the
mains power supply on site.
The Gas-O-Valve has many advantages such as the
ability to read each well independently and adjust automatically to
any given situation.
For example:
If you have a well that only produces gas for a short period of time
under normal conditions. At present you would have to check the well,
say at least once a day and if the oxygen were to high you would have
to shut the well. It maybe a long period of time before it was checked
again. In the meantime there would be a gas build up inside the well,
this would then migrate or be trapped in the well etc.
By using the Hi-Lo Gas-O-Valve this would not occur
because as soon as the Gas-O-Valve picks up any gas
that is above the set point, the valve would automatically adjust to
allow the gas to be drawn off and burnt via a flare.
With the Gas-O-Valve, each well calibrates itself and
is totally efficient in controlling the gas field.
The Gas-O-Valve makes sure the whole field is
calibrated as one and allows the gas extraction system to be used 100%
efficiently on all wells.
The Gas-O-Valve reduces time, costs and energy spent
on pulling wells that have no gas or that are high in O². This in
turn gives the suction to the wells that are producing gas and this
makes the whole system more productive.
This way only the gas being produced from the landfill is drawn from
the site, this in turn stops the site from being over drawn.
By using the Gas-O-Valve the gas field is balance
evenly at all times and there is no need for manual adjustment and
guesswork.
